Founded in 1983, National Media Museum is one of the most visited museums in England. The museum is home to both historical and contemporary exhibitions focusing on photography, television, animation and film. National Media Museum is also a proud host of many film festivals such as London Sci-fi Film Festival, London Indie Film Festival, etc.
The museum’s ideology is to connect historical stories while expanding limitation of media. Staying true to that, the logo form resembles the film strip while suggesting a notation of expanding motion. The graphic language of the brand will use a 45º degree angle that bear a resemblance to the logo mark.
Inspired by the logo mark itself, the museum’s poster design features the signature pattern. This pattern will create an optical illusion for the viewers from the distance, catching attention.
